Activity Overview

During this session you will learn how to :

• Insert a sketch from the Blocks palette into the editor.
• Explode the sketch.
• Maintaining the correct layer structure for multiple parts.
• Create an extrusion of a closed profile.
• Apply a Workplanes to the facet of a 3D object to create a new profile.
• Use 3D Boolean Functions.

Introducing

The following tools will be used during this Session :

• Single line, polyline & circle geometry.
• The Blocks palette.
• Workplane by Facet.
• Mirroring a 3D Shape.
• Creating Extrusions.
• 3D Boolean Add & Subtract.

Information

• This design is part of an assembly.
• A sample drawing is used for this Session.
• The Form Building Edges option is activated at various intervals for visual and construction purposes. Use Options | Drawing Styles | Display | Draw Form Building Edges to activate/deactivate this option.
• This Session uses the Ribbon menu and Workspace.
