In this Task

  • A Rectangle will be drawn to a specific size by defining the size values in the data fields of the Inspector Bar.

Before you Start

Take Note

  • The Student_2D template is recommended as it contains basic drawing settings to assist with the completion of the tasks in this Training Guide.
  • Menu options for the Default menu and workspace, the Ribbon and Palettes are provided directly under the Command Name heading.

 

Rectangle

Ribbon : Draw | Draw 2D | Line | Rectangle
Default Menu : Draw | Line | Rectangle
Palette : Sketch | Line | Rectangle
This tool draws a rectangle by defining the size A (width) and the size B (length) values.Rectangles are drawn by establishing a point and dragging the cursor to the diagonally opposing corner.A rectangle can be drawn with filleted corners by selecting the fillet corners and inputting a radius.

Select the Rectangle tool from the menu options above and left click somewhere in the graphics editor to indicate the lower left corner of the rectangle.

Use the keyboard TAB key and input a value of 152 into the Size A field and 80 into the Size B field.

Use the F7 keyboard to key to select the most recently drawn object, then reduce this single polyline to 4 line segments by selecting Format | Explode.
