Activity Overview

During this session you will learn how to :

• Draw a simple gauge plate shown in the illustration above using various Draw, Modify and Zoom tools.
• Insert basic linear and radial dimensions.
• Create a print layout of the finished drawing.
• Insert a title block from the Blocks palette.

Introducing

The following tools will be used during this Session :

• Removing line segments using Trim and Break
• Blending an edge using Fillet 2D.
• Chamfering an edge using chamfer.
• Drawing a rectangle with blended corners.
• Using center marks.
• Stretching a portion of the drawing.
• Using Angular Dimensions

Information

• The dimensions on the finished drawing shown above are the final dimensions. The drawing is modified several times during this Session, so measurements at the start of the drawing will differ to the final dimensions.
• This Session uses the Default menu and Workspace. Select the Default menu from the start-up menu or view these instructions on how to switch to the Default workspace from the Ribbon menu.
