Default Menu : Modify | Offset | Offset
This duplication feature creates multiple parallel offsets from a 2D entity. The offsets can be on a different elevation by using the Z Offset. The vertices of offset contours can be rounded if necessary.

The Workplane is on the midpoint of the top plate, shown below.

Turn the view to the Right side and set the Workplane to Plane by Active View.

Select the Polyline tool from the Draw | Line menu, then activate the Seat layer. Draw a polyline, similar in shape and proportion to that shown below.  Remember to use the Line and Arc options to create the contour and the Edit tool to modify the contour if necessary.

Make sure the section shown circled below connects with the side face of the plate.

Drawing the profile of the seat from the right side view; Workplane is set to Plane by Active View

With the view set to Right side, select the contour, then use Modify | Offset to create an offset of 20from the new polyline.

Take Note

Input the offset distance of 20 then input 2 sets even though only 1 offset is required. Make sure the Z Offset distance is set to 0

Select the pedestal and the plate and use Edit | Hide Objects to retain only the polyline contour in the editor.

Use the Polyline tool to connect the end vertices, then use Join Polyline and the auto-joining option to create one continual contour, shown below and below.
