Projection Views

In this Task 

 The associated view of the components will be inserted to represent projected views. 

The correct alignment and scale of the associated view will be maintained.

Before you Start 

At least four views, all front views, of each component are displayed in the paper space layout.

Open the drafting palette.

A projected view of the same part can be auto-scaled and aligned to an associated part by initially positioning the new over the inserted view.This will automatically scale and align the part to be inserted to the scale of the part already inserted.

Using the Drafting Palette, select the Front view of Part-01 and select Insert into Drawing.  This view will auto-scale on insertion.

Start to drag this view into the paper space layout, then position the cursor over the view of the eye, shown below.

To align and scale this view to its associated view, position the cursor with the new view directly over the view, shown below.  The scale and alignment of the new view will lock to that of the inserted view.

Drag the new view to the right of theoriginal view and place in an appropriate position, similar to that shown below.

Continue with this method, inserting and aligning all associated views of the parts.

Remember to place the new view directly over the inserted view so that the scale and alignment can be locked.
