Additional Paper Space Layouts

In this Task 

A new page will be added to the paper space layouts.  This will be used to insert the views of the 2D geometry and 3D model of the assembly. 

Before you Start 

The views of the 2D geometry and the 3D model were created in aprevious task in this session.

The paper space layout area is active; the model space editor is not required for this task.

Ribbon : Workspace | PaperSpace | Insert

Default Menu : Insert | PaperSpace | Insert

In the Default Workspace, right click onto the Model/Paper tab at the bottom left of the editor, select Insert

Additional pages can be added to the paper space layout when more views of the assembly are required.Each new page which is added will require formatting of the size, orientation and workspace units.  The newly inserted page does not adopt the layout settings of the previous page.

Right click into the area shown by the arrow below, and select Insert. If using the Ribbon menu, select the Insert option from the menu options instructions above.

A new page is added to the existing layout named Paper 2.

Click onto Paper 2 tab and use File | Page Setup to format the correct page size and orientation.  In this example, an A4 landscape page was used.

Make sure the space unit settings are correct.  Use Options | Drawing Styles | Space Unitsand check either the Metric of English system.

Use this sheet to insert the previously created views of the 2D geometry of each component and the 3D model of the assembly, similar to the illustration below.  Use the standard Insert | Viewports | Viewport Default menu : View | Viewports | Insert Viewport function to do this.

Add appropriate Text to label the viewports when finished.
