Create Views

A top and an isometric south east view of the model will be created.

  These will then be assembled onto the paper space layout.

Before you Start 

View is set to Front.

Use Zoom Extents, the reduce the zoom slightly.

Menu options for the Default menu and workspace, the Ribbon and Palettes are provided directly under the Command Name heading.

Creating Views for Layout

Ribbon : View | Create View
Default Menu : View | Named Views | Create View
Palette : Named View | Create View
Model Space, also referred to as the editor, is the area in which the sketch geometry of the drawing is produced at full scale. Annotations in the form of hatching and dimensions are also produced in the model space area.A View of the drawing is created which is then inserted into the Paper Space layout as a viewport.Paper Space is the area where viewports of the drawing are assembled and the ‘virtual scale’ of the viewport is created here.Text notes and title blocks are also inserted into the Paper Space area. This is always set to the real-life, physical size of the paper onto which the drawing should be printed.Modifications performed on the sketch in the Model Space area are automatically updated in the relevant viewport in the Paper Space area.

Multiple views of the model can be created for paper space layout using the CreateView option.

Select Create View from the menu options above, then place a selection rectangle around the front view of the model, shown below.

Create a suitable name for this view, such as Front.

Change the view to Isometric South East and repeat this, creating a view called ISO-SE, similar to that shown below.
