The outer edges of the solid will be blended.

Before you Start 

The view is set to Isometric South East.

The model is displayed in Wireframe.

Menu options for the Default menu and workspace, the Ribbon and Palettes are provided directly under the Command Name heading.

Fillet Edges

Ribbon : Modify | 3D Modifications | Fillet Edges
Default Menu : Modify | Modify 3D Objects | Modify Edges | Fillet Edges
Palette : 3D Model | 3D Modify | Fillet Edges
The Fillet Edges tool is used to create a transitional surface by defining a radius or chamfer.Material is either added to, or subtracted from the volume of the solid..

Select the Fillet Edges tool from the menu options above and activate the Round Vertex option. This can be done by right-clicking in the editor or selecting the Round Vertex option from the options at the base of the editor.

Input a radius of 3 then select the extruded object. Select the edges shown by the red dots in the illustration, below.

Right click and select Finish from the local menu. The result should be similar to the illustration, below.

Form Building Edges

Default Menu : Options | Display | Draw Form Building Edges
Form Building Edges are the construction or ‘rigging’ lines which help support the geometry of a solid in Wireframe view and are shown below.

Take Note 

Form Building Edges can only be viewed under the following conditions :

  • Degenerative Faceting must be deactivated. Go to Options | Acis | Degenerative Faceting.
  • The Native Draw mode must be in GDI mode. Go to Options | Preferences | Native Draw | GDI.
