  • The direction of the revolution depends on the orientation of the User-CS.

Revolve

This tool produces a solid by revolving a profile about an axis of revolution.
 

Right click in the editor and turn the view to Isometric South East and observe the User Coordinate system icon. The position of the axis indicates whether the angle of rotation will be positive (anti-clockwise) or negative (clockwise)

From the menu options above, select Revolve then right click and select Properties from the local menu.

From the Revolution Shape page, set the angle of rotation degrees to -180, then click OK.

At the prompt > Select a 2D entity to revolve, select the circle.

At the prompt > Define the first point of the revolution axis, select the MIDPOINT of the edge, shown by the cursor, below. Type M to correctly target the midpoint if the snaps are not activated.

Hold down the SHIFT key and drag the cursor in the direction shown by the cursor, below, then left click to define this position.

The result should be similar to the illustration below.

Take Note

Use the opposite rotation angle, usually achieved by using a positive rotation angle, if the result is not the same as above.
