Meet 2 Lines

In this Task 

• Segments of the drawing will be ‘trimmed’ using the Meet 2 Lines tool.

Before you Start 

• If a line segment is removed in error, use the Undo tool or right click to obtain the local menu and select Undo Meet 2 Lines.

Take Note 

• The action of trimming lines using the Meet 2 Lines is done strictly in pairs, usually across a diagonal corner. Refer to the sketch below.

Meet 2 Lines

Ribbon : Modify | 2D Modifications | Meet 2 Lines

Default Menu : Modify | Meet 2 Lines

Palette : Modify | Modify | Meet 2 Lines

The Meet 2 Lines tool creates ‘corners’ of intersecting or potentially intersecting lines.The planar geometry of the lines is not compromised when using the Meet 2 Lines tool.The Meet 2 Lines tool can also be used to join the end vertices of Bezier Curves.

Using the diagonal pairs shown in the illustration below, select the points on the lines. If a line is reduced in error, use the Undo tool shown below to return the modified line to its original status.
