3D Setup

In this Task 

• Additional tools will be used to assist with 3D design.
• The Display options will be adjusted for 3D design.

Associated Tasks 

• Viewing the User and World Coordinate System icons.

Before you Start 

• Start a new drawing using the Student 3D template or use the sample drawing for this Session.

Take Note 

• This tutorial provides the basics of 3D design. All aspects of using the TurboCAD 3D tools are discussed and demonstrated in detail in the TurboCAD 3D Training Guide.

3D Setup

The following toolsets will used.

• Draw 3D
• 3D Modification
• Format | Solid / Surface

Make sure the following settings are applied :

From the Options | Display dialog box, check the field for Draw Form Building Edges.

From the Explorer Bar on the left of this dialog box, select ACIS, then uncheck the field for Degenerative Faceting.

Ribbon : From Workspace | Page Setup, check both options to display the User and World Coordinate System icons.

Default : View | Display | UCS Icon | Display both the User and World Coordinate System icons.
