In this Task 

  • Parallel lines will be created by offsetting the horizontal and vertical center line.

Before you Start 

  • Tools Palette is displayed; sketch menu panel is used for this task.

Palette : Sketch | Line | Parallel
Creates a parallel line at a specified offset distance from an existing line.The distance is input into the Offset field of the Inspector Bar.The Offset data field can be locked when a fixed offset distance is required.

To create an offset to the right of the vertical center line, select the Parallel tool from the menu options above. TAB to the Offset field of the Inspector Bar and input a value of 64 and lock the Offset data field, shown by the arrow below.

Left click to the right of the vertical center line when the line remains fixed at a distance of 64, shown above.

Use the TAB keyboard key to again access the Offset field of the Inspector Bar and input a value of 25. Make sure the Offset value remains locked.

Select the horizontal center line, then move the cursor to a position above the line, shown below. Left click to define this position.

Again select the horizontal center line, then move the cursor to a position below this line, shown below. Left click to insert the parallel line in this position.

The result should be similar to the illustration below. Dimensions on the sketch below are for illustrative purposes only.
