In this Task

  • Center lines will be inserted onto the center of the circles using a Point or Cross marker.
  • This marker is created as a compound object and needs to be exploded if the individual lines require modification.

Center point markers in the form of a cross can be inserted onto the center of circles and arcs.

Center point markers in the form of a cross can be inserted onto the center of circles and arcs. These objects can then be exploded and placed on an appropriate layer. The overall length of these markers can then be adjusted using the Line Length tool used in the previous task.

Right click onto the Point tool from the menu options above.

From the General page, set the layer to CL or any layer suitable for center lines or dimensions.

From the Point page, set the Point type to Cross and the size to 20. Click OK.

Long-left click onto the Point tool and select the Cross option.

At the prompt > Define the position of the marker, indicate the edge of the circle, shown below.

Left click to place the center point marker, then repeat this with the upper right circle shown below.

Right click and select Cancel from the context menu.
