In this Task

  • Circles will be inserted onto the newly created intersections shown below.

Before you Start

  • After setting the Intersection snap, check that the SNAP tab is activated at the base of the workspace.

Take Note

  • The keyboard TAB key allows each field of the data fields to be accessed. Use the TAB key to cycle between the fields until the required field is found.
  • After inputting the radius or diameter value, always press Enter.

Circles on Intersections

Ribbon : Draw| Circle/Ellipse | Center and Point
Default Menu : Modify | Chamfer | Distance, Distance
Palette : Sketch | Circle/Ellipse | Circle Center and Point

In a previous task, circles were placed onto the center points or arcs. In this task, circles with a diameter of 4 will be inserted onto the intersections created by the newly offset lines, shown below.

Right click onto the SNAP tab at the base of the workspace and activate the Intersection snap mode. Click OK, then make sure the SNAP tab is activated at the base of the workspace. This is known as a toggle and can be activated or deactivated at any stage without interrupting the drawing process.

Select the CircleCenter & Point tool from the menu options above then position the cursor over the intersection shown below. The magnetic marker and the Intersection snap mode anchor shows the Intersection point.

TAB to the Diameter field and input 4 and press enter. The result is shown below right.

Repeat this for the other intersection so the result is similar to the illustration below.
